Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Director Kevin Smith has avoided Southwest airlines since 2010 after getting into an incident with the airlines over involving his weight (the airline did apologize at the time of the altercation), but today, Smith had to make a choice—continue his boycott against Southwest or call a truce so that he can get to Planet Comicon in Kansas City on time?
It all started when Smith's Delta flight got delayed (spoiler alert: Delta is now on his s--t list) and the star realized he may not make it on time to the convention. How could he dare let the fans down? So, to prove his loyalty to the cause, Smith did something no one thought he'd ever do—he flew Southwest.
Or as he put it, he got on "enemy territory."
People of @PlanetComicon! I'm trying to get to you but @Delta has delayed me 3 hours to check a bathroom smoke alarm. Hope I can make it...

Since @delta delayed my flight 4 hours, I now can't get to #KansasCity & @PlanetComicon unless I fly on @SouthwestAir. So fuck you, #Delta.

OK @SouthwestAir. Haven't been in you since our incident years back. But you're my only option to get to @PlanetComicon now. So let's dance.

Southwest seemed delighted to have Kevin back.
@ThatKevinSmith We're happy to welcome you onboard, Kevin. Have a great trip. ^HR

And just like that, a six-year feud has been laid to rest.
